More about the School

Over the last couple of years’, it became obvious to me there was no institution focused on developing tomorrows' professional, contemporary musicians and performers or developing students ready to feed into the very best higher education music institutions and conservatoires.

While touring, I’ve been able to make visits to music schools all over the world and accumulate the very best teaching techniques. With this research, my experience and input from AMP's Patron Steve White (legendary drummer for Paul Weller, The Who, Oasis and Professor of Percussion & Drumming at Trinity), we've been able to develop a new format of teaching which all AMP’s syllabus and Rock School Grades are built upon.

Typically, this starts with our younger / beginner students in group sessions, reducing expenses for students and allowing AMP’s team to up-stream high potential students into one to one lessons; building bespoke plans to maximise their potential. We also wanted our school to be as digital as possible. So, we’ve launched an online school management system, meaning you can manage and pay for your lessons online. This system will also send email / sms reminders and allow students and teachers to share notes, resources and so much more.

Today, we teach Drums, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards / Piano and Vocal / Singing and our growing teaching staff have decades of professional and academic experience from touring the world with million selling bands / artistes, London’s West End / Broadway and qualifications from The Royal College of Music, Trinity College, The BRITs School, and Leeds College of Music.

We welcome students from 7 years’ old through to mature, so if you have children showing musical promise or you’ve always wanted to play then please signup .

We have exclusive 24 / 7 use of two studios at The Howard Venue, a £3million purpose-built music, dance and performance facility opened in 2003 in Swanley, South East London / North East Kent. The Howard Venue, our home, has three further studios which we aim to grow into through further lessons and performances.
